Someone explain to me why ageism is an issue in rap? I don’t see it.

Good to see a few things: 1. Charles Hamilton – part of me thought he had died. 2. Charles’ sense of humor – part of me thought that might have dislodged due to punches a la upset woman. 3. A new mixtape, Normalcy. Give Chuck another chance? DOWNLOAD.
Immortal Technique does what hip-hop was created to do. Speak Truth. Bars start at 1:45.

We here at ReviewSTACKS always take an interest in the artists that we cultivate relationships with through our reviews and dealings. I got a follow up email from a contact pointing us in the direction of YouTube because there were some new videos up from the gentlemen from GodChaserz. Good to see they’re bringing what seems to be an Usher Raymond-inspired take to the J-E-S-U-S rap demographic. If only God was so cool back when I was at church camp. Someone make an appeal to T-Pain, I want him in one of these.

Big R – Go Off
It’s Friday, which means the RS team is gearing up for next week. That being said we want to give you all a treat for the weekend. This is a clip of the always-looking-for-trouble Chuck Ham going in against Serius Jones in a freestyle battle. The young pup has some great lines but the strong delivery of a seasoned battle rapper like Jones absolutely slays Mr. Pink in the end.
In accordance with a new ReviewSTACKS policy of giving our readers something notoriously juicy to mess with as they wait on the clock to strike five, I’m setting the weekend’s tone by throwing up one of the best songs to ever have been sung. Marvin Gaye and the ‘Best First Four Notes, Ever’ doing “Let’s Get It On” live in Montreux in 1980.
Instructions:
1. Listen to the first four seconds of the clip 10 times over.
2. Listen to the remaining 6:22 until you get sick of hearing Marvin; but that’ll never happen.
Look out for a slew of fresh RS content come Monday with new reviews, commentary and music. We’re getting back on our hustle and there’s no slacking off this time. We appreciate everyone’s patience and hope you continue to read us for a long time to come.
The good Doctor steps out from behind the boards and knocks out a soda commercial. Methinks Detox is coming soon.
