Interview: Donny Goines

Minute After MidnightI was able to get on the phone with New York City-based rapper Donny Goines for a few minutes last night and asked him about Minute After Midnight, his latest release that dropped in December 2008. We chopped it up for a bit in between events he was coming from and going to and went over his reasons for rapping, what his influences were and what he has in the works for everyone with some headphones in the near future. Review: Beat Konducta Vol. 5-6

Beat Konducta vol 5-6: Dil Cosby/Dil Withers, set to release on February 10th, 2009 is a 42-track salute and homage to the late James Yancey whose stage name was J.Dilla. Underground Kings: Joe Budden vs. Saigon

Anyone who has read my site bio or who is familiar with the road that brought me to hip-hop can likely assess a few things about me. First, I’m from LA, so I think that Tupac was the best thing that ever happened to rap (especially Gangsta Rap as a sub-genre).
